What’s the Call About?
Tomorrow, March 11th, 2010, My *NEWLY* promoted Project Manager, Heather Marshall, will be interviewing me about how I have run our small business for over a year, managing over 35 contractor employees at a time and keeping our clients raving fans.
Heather will be asking me questions that will not only help her as she starts to take over some of the behind the curtains work for me, but will also give you a better idea of how we operate and how it can benefit you and your business. We’d love to answer your questions whether you are looking to expand your own business or lookign to work with ours.
So what made us Start a Small Business?
While I have over 9 years in Adminstrative positions and transcription and 2 years of experience as an HR Manager and Talent Manager before starting The Small Business Transcription, Heather has over 9 years of experience as an Office Manager. Both Heather and I always found we were doing our bosses’ jobs as well as our own.
At one point during my last job, my job title was an HR Specialist and I was covering for a District Managers’ Assistant, an HR manager on leave, and a Talent Manage position that was vacant. During that same position, my main district had 34 stores and over 950 employees. Some days wearing all the hats in a small business with 40 employees seems easy.
