I have been working very hard getting our new website together and I have a fun announcement to make related to the accomplishment.
I have been participating in a Home Office Transformation Contest run by Scott Tousignant of the Fat Loss Quickie Experience. If you don’t know about Scott, he specializes in making exercise routines that can be done in a small space like an office, for work-at-home moms and dads. The contest is broken up into four 21 day mini-contests and I won the first one. You can read about how I won here.
Not to give away my age, but in the past 23 years, I cannot ever remember winning anything. I placed first in the State in Soil Judging my junior year of high school but I didn’t really get anything other than weird looks from the girlie girls in my class who didn’t understand why I knew so much about land grades and soil classifications.
The truth is I won even before I got the prize pack. Have you ever idled in front of your computer pretending to work while an hour passes by? That’s how I would get at 2 A.M. I knew I had a ton of work to do and the pressure kept me working 18 hours a day or more. But I really wasn’t achieving anything. I was just wearing myself down.
Scott amazed me before I even started paying him to be my virtual physical trainer. He gets up earlier in the morning and calls it a day when his kids get home from school. He may not know this but usually I would get his morning tweets before I went to bed. Scott’s contest isn’t just about loosing weight. It is broken into life, business and fitness goals and he holds me accountable to all of them. I have learned so much from Scott and his group of clients. I knew how to run a business. What I didn’t know was how to balance my life and my business against one another.
One of the products of the first sprint of this contest is my almost finished website. I had been planning it for months and I was just idling from lack of energy and fatigue. The workouts gave me a lot more energy and I soon found I was wanting to get out of bed to do them. I got more completed in 3 weeks than I did in 4 months.
It still kind of shocks me that I get more done when I set specific hours to work, and take time during my day to workout, relax and spend the evening with my daughter. I’m more patient. My daughter is happier and I’ve evening managed to get out of the house too.
So my question to you is what would you do if you had an extra hour a day? Take the poll below and leave us some comments about your choice below.
Let me know how I can help you be more productive. How many hours a day are you sitting at your desk writing? Or worse trying to write unsuccessfully. Would it boost your productivity to do a dictation mind dump and let me and my professional writers sort it out for you?
Need copywriting? It may be helpful to have someone who isn’t so close to your business help you. I know from personal experience that trying to describe the business you love so much can be difficult at times. I have done copywrite coaching and training with some of the best marketing gurus around and would love to help you.
Be sure to check back or sign up for our updates to make sure you don’t miss any of our polls. We will also be having a very exciting contest start in a few days. You will want to check it out, especially if you are or have a Veteran or service man/woman in your life.
And I will be reviewing all the great prizes in my prize pack. You all helped along the journey so I want to share what I can with you.
Winner of the 1st 21 day challenge receives… (That’s me

Heh… I know far more about soil than I ever wanted to know. 3-4 graduate level classes in soil mechanics.
